The 'equality' collection with its many details (from apple-eating women to saxophone playing jazz musicians) is already our fifth collection. It includes a few previous designs that are re-stocked and our main design called 'Power Pants' (all sold out).
The topic of gender equality was important for us to address. We decided to have a closer look into the change in fashion that came along with the gender equality movement. The 'Power Pants' design focuses on women that started to wear and feel comfortable in pants instead of skirts, which surprisingly is not such a long ago - just in the 1930's.
Two versions of this design was created, one with a light and one with a dark background, and are showing three of the most well-known of these women: Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn and Coco Chanel. Female powerhouses that are inspiring, strong and fiercely independent actresses, fashion designers and vocalists.
These are the inspirations for the drawings of co-founder and designer Irina, creating an empowering and motivating vibe for women to continue creating, standing in for each other and lifting each other up.
We donated 4€ per leggings sold and have continued our support for this organisation with our 'Hey Yogini' design from the latest collection in 2020.
